The name Moniker was derived from Ryan Courter’s love of freight trains. The culture, mystique and romanticized idea of the American freight train has always captivated him and the drawings of monikers that have been a part of it. He grew up in Ohio and currently lives in Portland, Oregon. Ryan began making items out of leather about two years ago. It was a natural combination of his passion for working with his hands and his wish to make classic and functional items. Ryan draws inspiration from the outdoors and travel.
