At age 12, the seeds of Malia’s creativity were planted and took root. She would collect beads, charms, and pieces of their mother’s vintage jewelry with her sister, crafting them into their own collection. Malia began dreaming of the M. Grace collection in 2012. The jewelry line draws from images and symbols found in ancient civilizations and nature, combined with a modern rustic aesthetic. Each piece is carefully considered and infused with protective energy. In keeping with mystical cultural traditions, Malia believes jewelry transcends aesthetics and serves as power pieces to invoke the wearers intentions. Malia uses the ancient lost wax technique to make her jewelry and carves each piece by hand. All production is locally sourced and made from recycled metal. Malia works out of her home/studio in Echo Park.
